Therapist, Certified Eating Disorder Specialist

Erica is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Certified Eating Disorder Specialist, and a Registered Dietitian. This unique combination gives Erica two different and important perspectives in the treatment of eating disorders. She is a graduate of Western Michigan University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Dietetics. Erica completed the Oakland County Health Division Dietetic Internship in Southfield, Michigan, and she received her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Indiana University, Fort Wayne, Indiana. As a dietitian, Erica has worked in community, inpatient, and outpatient settings treating infants, children, and adults with various eating-related issues. As a therapist, Erica has focused her training on treating eating disorders. Erica is a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, the American Dietetics Association, and is a Certified member of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (iaedp™). Erica empowers her clients by teaching them that “true health means letting go of the constant need to control weight and eating-related thoughts and behaviors. True beauty is found within, not in a mirror or in misguided personal judgments.”
